Qualification

General qualification guidelines

Most business funding funders look at the same core factors, though each sets its own thresholds.

Monthly revenue
$15,000+ in consistent deposits (typical starting point)
Time in business
6 months+ for revenue-based options, 2 years+ for term and SBA loans
Credit
550+ for some revenue-based options, 650+ for most term and SBA loans
Bank statements
Most recent 3 to 6 months of business bank statements

These are general guidelines, not requirements. Each funder sets its own criteria, and approval depends on underwriting.

FAQ

Business Funding FAQs

What type of business funding is easiest to qualify for?

Revenue-based options such as working capital advances typically have the most flexible requirements because they focus on recent deposits rather than credit history. They also usually cost more than term loans or SBA loans, so they fit best for short-term needs.

Does REVEST lend money directly?

No. REVEST Commercial Capital is a commercial funding brokerage, not a bank or direct lender. We work with a network of funders and help you compare the options that may fit your business.

Will checking my options affect my credit?

An initial review can often begin with a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your score. A funder may run a hard inquiry later in underwriting, and we will tell you before that happens whenever we can.

Can I get business funding as a startup?

Options for businesses with less than 6 months of revenue are limited. Equipment financing and some SBA programs may work for newer businesses with strong personal credit and a solid plan, depending on underwriting.

Do you charge upfront fees?

No. REVEST Commercial Capital does not charge upfront broker fees. Any compensation is disclosed and is typically paid at funding.
